Description
Description
Yoshikazu Tanaka is a highly regarded master blacksmith in Sakai. With more than 50 years of experience under his belt, he is among the most elite group of iconic masters like Kenji Togashi, Yoshikazu Ikeda and Itsuo Doi.
With Konosuke Fujiyama FM as his most famous works, Tanaka-san is well known for his excellent heat treatment and his forging skills. Knives made by him are featured with a wavier cladding line between the hagane and jigane, and often has more core steel exposed.
Through our connections, K&S was able to collaborate with master Tanaka to offer a special Yoshikazu Tanaka made knives under the K&S house brand of Sentan (千锻). The highlight of the offering is that we are pairing these beautiful blades with our K&S custom handles, and we even have get Gyuto in our K&S custom profile, which is significantly taller and longer than a standard Sakai profile.
