The Sakai Takayuki VG10 "Sho-Ryu" Honyaki line is a premium single bevel offering from the professional power house. Sharpened by the likes of Hirosugu Tosa, the VG10 honyaki is made of a single piece of the state-of-the-art VG10 cutlery steel. The honyaki is much harder to shape and sharpen, hence the much more desirable compared to the standard Nimai (two-layer) construction. Comes with African Wenge-wood saya and matching octagonal handle with buffalo horn ferrule.
